Trustee Marecek was appointed as a Trustee in 2013 by a board's unanimous vote. Later in 2015 and 2019, he was elected by the residents to successive 4-year terms as a Trustee. During his tenure as a board member, he has taken an active role in many different village areas. He has worked with the Montgomery Police Department for the past five years to help bring the Halloween Safety event to our community. He volunteers for the Cemetery walk sponsored by the Historic Preservation Commission and even worked as an actor for one year. Assists the Beautification Committee with the Holiday Light and Halloween Decoration judging. He is the past Chair of the Montgomery Economic Development Corporation.

Trustee Marecek states, "I have enjoyed my involvement since joining the Village Board and look forward to continuing to serve our community. I greatly appreciate the history in Montgomery while paving the path for our future. The key to everything is finding the balance between the past and the future. My family moved here 15 years ago, and I knew early on that Montgomery would be our family home. I love that we still have that small-town feel, but we are growing and expanding in ways that help set us apart from our surrounding communities."
