A: We would love you to volunteer with us for multiple shifts.
Q: Can I sign myself up with a friend or a group?
A: Yes, you can sign up multiple people. Please be aware of the role your group is signing up for, as some volunteer roles have age restrictions. Please get in touch with Rosie Boeing at rboeing@montgomeryil.org to sign groups up.

A: You will be provided an event shirt for your shift/s. We highly encourage you to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.

A: We would like everyone to have a working knowledge of the festival and its layout. Don’t worry though, if you need a refresher, we will have general festival information available at the Information Booth.
Beer Garden
Volunteers will be stationed in the beer tent, checking IDs and pouring and serving beer to attendees over 21. Volunteers will also be responsible for keeping the area clean and organized. All proceeds from the beer garden benefit the Montgomery Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that supports education and community service programs. Volunteers must be 21+ yrs. of age. We strongly prefer volunteers who have a valid Basset license.
Clean-up Crew
Volunteers will be responsible for cleaning up festival grounds during and after the festival to ensure that the property is spotless and trash-free. This is an excellent opportunity for community service hours for those ages 15 and older. Volunteers must be 18+ years of age to work the closing shift due to curfew.
Golf Cart Shuttles
Volunteers will pick up and drop off customers, employees, and products as needed across festival grounds throughout the event. Volunteers must be 18+ yrs. of age with a valid driver’s license.
Information/Welcome Booth
Volunteers will perform customer service functions such as greeting patrons, directing customers to vendor booths, and providing festival information as requested.
This position may be asked to fill in with other duties as needed.
Parade Volunteers
Volunteers will help with parade staging, getting participants lined up, and acting as route marshals to maintain the pace on Sunday, August 18.
Sponsor and Vendor Support
Volunteers will help check in and direct sponsors and vendors to their booth location.
All volunteers must be familiar with the layout of the Fest to answer questions.
Groups and individuals can contact Rosie at rboeing@montgomeryil.org to sign up. A confirmation and details for the volunteer shift will be sent out closer to Montgomery Fest.
