The Montgomery Police Department proudly announces the recent graduation of Sergeant Daniel Gonzalez from Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC). Held in Plainfield, Illinois, from January 16 to May 17, 2024, Sergeant Gonzalez completed the rigorous ten-week program.
SPSC, established by the Center for Public Safety in 1983, has graduated over 21,000 students globally. Sergeant Gonzalez was part of SPSC Class #568, which comprised 45 dedicated law enforcement professionals.
The School of Police Staff and Command offers comprehensive instruction across twenty-seven core areas, including leadership, human resources, organizational behavior, and budgeting. The program is renowned for its academic rigor, encompassing written examinations, projects, presentations, and a substantial staff study paper.
The Center for Public Safety, founded in 1936, continues to expand its mission of providing advanced education and training for law enforcement, management, and executive development.
Sergeant Gonzalez's completion of this program signifies a significant investment by the Montgomery Police Department in leadership development.
