The Village of Montgomery is pleased to announce that the BNSF railroad crossing at Webster Street in Montgomery was recently approved for full replacement.
To accommodate this construction, the Webster Street railroad crossing will be closed from 7:00 am on Friday, November 20th until 5:00 pm on Tuesday, November 24th. Advanced warning signs will be placed in the area at least five days prior to the closure. The crossing will be closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic during construction.
The current rubber approaches will be replaced with prefabricated concrete panels that are anchored into the ties. All three crossings will be replaced, and BNSF will have the asphalt finished to meet the new concrete panels. New pavement striping will also be installed.
