At the August 29th Board Meeting, Village of Montgomery officials announced the winners of the “Montgomery: It Feels Like Home” photo contest.
The purpose of the contest was to capture the natural beauty of Montgomery, such as the river, parks and wildlife, as well as the people and places that make Montgomery a great place to live. Photographs could be entered in three categories: Environment, Architecture, and People/Activities. A committee, including a professional photographer, selected a first place winner in each category as follows:
1st Place Environment -- Katrina Crutchett -- Great Blue Heron
1st Place Architecture -- Jennifer Crocker -- Little Free Library
1st Place People/Activities -- Katrina Crutchett -- Fly Fisherman
In addition, the committee selected three photos as worthy of Honorable Mention:
People/Activities: Nick Allo -- Biking and Fishing along the Fox River
Environment: Stan Bond -- Sunset over Foxmoor Lake
Environment: Jami LeGrand -- Flowering Parkway Trees
The three first place photos were displayed at Montgomery Fest and by popular vote, the 1st place award went to Katrina Crutchett for Fly Fisherman, with 2nd place to Katrina Crutchett for Great Blue Heron and 3rd place to Jennifer Crocker for Little Free Library.
All winning photos will be on display in the lobby of the Village Hall until mid-September.
