[ARCHIVED] Montgomery PD announces St. Patrick's Day Campaign Results

The Montgomery Police Department made 4 drunk-driving arrests during the recent St. Patrick’s Day crackdown,” said Deputy Chief Sanders. In addition, 19 seat belt citations were written -- 17 of which occurred during nighttime hours.

The Montgomery Police Department joined forces with other state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners in the Illinois St. Patrick’s Day crackdown. The campaign featured high-visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities which included a strategic media campaign as well as additional enforcement activity.

The St. Patrick’s Day crackdown was funded by federal traffic safety funds through IDOT’s Division of Transportation Safety and is part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns.
