At 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11th, the Village of Montgomery will host a free program on the early history of Montgomery at the Village Hall, 200 N. River Street. Debbie Buchanan, a local history buff and liaison to the Historic Preservation Commission, will do a PowerPoint presentation highlighting photos and information about how the town began. The event is free and handicapped accessible, and is suitable for all ages. Settlers Cottage will be open for visitors following the program.
The monthly Senior Lunch and activity for ages 55 will begin at 11:00 a.m. after the program. There is a $4 cost for the lunch and pre-registration by September 4th is required.
