Mike Klupar serves as the Village’s Chief Building Official. Mike originally began part-time with the Village and moved into a full-time role in 2005. Before his time at the Village, he was a contractor. He holds multiple certifications through the International Code Council and a California Office of Emergency Services (OES) License. With a background in construction and a degree in Criminal Justice, Mike enjoys working for a municipality as it allows him to join a team that brings together multiple agencies.
His favorite part about the job is the unique projects he gets to see and support from the ground up, such as the Sugar Domes in Montgomery. In addition, he recently became a grandfather. His absolute favorite thing is spending time with his granddaughter.
