Beautification Committee

Mission: To positively impact the beauty of the community and enhance cultural opportunities for the Village of Montgomery through plantings, gardens, enhancement of natural habitats, and encouragement of the arts through volunteer efforts.


Overview: The Beautification Committee aims to enhance the natural beauty of the Village. With support of citizen volunteers and in coordination with Public Works, the Committee will be responsible for the planning, initiation and maintaining of various beautification efforts in Montgomery. The purpose is to create pride in Montgomery and encourage residents and businesses to do the same.

The Beautification Committee works on a variety of Village projects. Past projects have included the bluebird attractions, enhancement of Village flower beds, and updating Village pole banners. The Committee also sponsors the summer floral, Halloween, and Holiday display contests.


Commitment: Serving on the Beautification Committee is a long-term commitment with duties that include monthly meetings, attending and supporting events and contests, engaging in dialogue to spark new ideas and initiatives, and engaging the community in implementing the new ideas and initiatives.

The Beautification Committee meets at 6P the second Wednesday of each month at Village Hall.


Membership and Term: Committee membership shall be appointed by the Board of Trustees and be comprised of an odd number of not more than eleven (11) voting members to serve an initial term of two (2) years starting May 1, 2024. The Board of Trustees has the authority to appoint additional members and/or alternate members as appropriate to facilitate the work of the Committee.
