How to Sign up to Speak at a Board Meeting
The general public is invited to address the Village Board and express any ideas, concerns or issues at each regularly scheduled Village Board Meeting. There are two options available for people to speak at a Board Meeting:
1. A two-minute opportunity to speak is available at the beginning of each Board Meeting. Anyone in the audience may rise at that time and address the Board for up to two minutes.
2. If you contact the Village Clerk by noon on Tuesday prior to a Board Meeting, you may have your name placed on the agenda. This provides you with a longer opportunity to speak, although the Village President still has the ability to limit the time for comments. If you wish to sign up in advance to speak, please call (630) 896-8080 ext. 1114 and provide your name, address and the topic you wish to speak on, as well as a telephone number so that we can contact you if we need additional information.
